Steady Ripples
Steady Ripples is an umbrella brand centered on gentle, guiding practices that support personal growth. At the heart of the brand is Rach, whose work focuses on walking beside individuals as they take meaningful steps toward caring for themselves. Through offerings like the Triple Vagal Method and swimming lessons, she creates safe, supportive environments that encourage connection, healing, and progress. The project involved crafting a visual identity that reflects this calm, holistic approach while remaining flexible enough to represent multiple service offerings under one cohesive brand.
Go with the Flow
Designing a unified identity for an umbrella brand presented a unique challenge. The visual system needed to feel specific and intentional, but also adaptable for different modalities that range from somatic support to hands-on swimming instruction. Early logo explorations felt too generic and lacked the emotional clarity the brand needed. The creative direction shifted toward symbolism rooted in gentle motion, guidance, and emotional grounding, all qualities that define Rach’s approach. The goal was to create a visual identity that felt soothing, trustworthy, and deeply personal, without drifting into overly broad or impersonal territory.
There will be waves
To bring Steady Ripples to life, the visual identity embraces soft movement and subtle fluidity, echoing the idea of progress made through gentle, continuous steps. The logo was refined to feel intentional and calming, striking a balance between structure and organic flow. A warm and serene color palette supports the brand’s comforting tone, while flexible secondary marks allow each service offering to live within the system without losing cohesion. Typography pairs clarity with softness, reinforcing the sense of guidance and emotional safety.
Together, these elements form a brand that feels grounded, compassionate, and steady, a reflection of the supportive spaces Rach creates for the people she works with.

Collaborating with Rach on Steady Ripples was an incredibly rewarding experience. Her warmth, care, and commitment to helping others guided every design decision. Crafting a visual identity that mirrors her presence and purpose was a joy, and I’m excited to see her brand move into the world and continue making a meaningful impact.
